DESCRIPTION:Imagine the change if everyone followed this simple rule: Don't pass it up\, pick it up!\n\n \n\nOur beaches\, waters and wildlife would change dramatically!\n\n \n\nCome be part of the ripple effect!\n\n \n\nEnjoy a fun-filled day on the water\, along the shore and in the surrounding areas as we work together to keep our natural world clean and thriving.\n\n \n\nSunday July 12\, 2026\n\n \n\nSchedule:\n\n8:00 - 9:00AM - Yoga on the sand at Baby Beach\n\n8:00 - 9:30AM - Beach Cleanup\n\n9:30 - 11:00AM - Free Lunch & Learn at Ocean Institute\n\n \n\nSpecial Lunch & Learn this month for Plastic Free July\n\nBasket Weaving with the Juaneno Band of Mission Indians Acjachemen Nation\n\n \n\n 9:30 AM Welcome & Land Acknowledgment\n\nAcjachemen Tribal Member Georgia "Chena" Edmundson will offer a traditional land acknowledgment and welcome participants to the ancestral homeland and Tribal territory of the Acjachemen people.\n\n \n\nRegister / Check In & Weigh In\n\n \n\nFresh coffee\, hot chocolate and donuts provided by Coffee Importers (participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable cup!)\n\n \n\nWe're proud to partner with Westwind Sailing to take our cleanup efforts onto the water\, giving our community a hands-on way to protect the harbor from the inside out. A limited number of kayaks and paddleboards are available join us for this last push to remove debris before it makes its way into the ocean!\n\n \n\nWeigh in at any spot for a chance to win in one of the 3 categories \n\n-The Biggest Catch\n\n-The Smallest Catch (think micro plastics)\n\n-The Most Unusual\n\n \n\nPrizes donated by Killer Dana Surf Shop\, Captain Dave's Whale Watching\, Dana Wharf\, Shaka Love and Custodians of The Sea .\n\n \n\nWe encourage the "BYOB" (bring your own bucket or reusable bag\, gloves\, reusable water bottle and coffee cup) philosophy to help reduce any additional waste!\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for the beach cleanup online here
